Check Your Temperature Gage: Are You Hot, Cold, Or Lukewarm?

Having the right temperature is vital to your overall mental, physical, and spiritual well being. One more than the other two can be detrimental to your existence even worst could potentially be the nail in your coffin on how successful or not you are in life, as well as where you spend eternity. So, occasionally checking your temperature gage for whether or not you are running hot, cold, or lukewarm is of great importance. Too much of anything is never good, but operating in the grey area is what we describe in this blog as lukewarm isn’t a best practice either. You’ve heard the clique your altitude is determined by your attitude. Same analogy here in that if your attitude is hot and you are all in then your participation promotes the probability for an altitude of great success. But if your temperature is cold, your attitude is demonstrating little to no interest, then your altitude is negatively impacted by your desire to actively participate creating a high probability for failure. You would probably think in this scenario lukewarm is a better choice, but in all actuality it’s not. A lukewarm attitude depicts an individual who is on the fence playing both sides depending upon the climate. In the lukewarm scenario, the probability could go either way and therefore just as unpredictable as the weather. What if we take this analogy further and ask are you hot, cold, or lukewarm for Jesus? If we check your faith gage, what would your temperature reveal? Are you having flu like symptoms in your spiritual walk? Is your Christian heart hot, cold, or lukewarm? Are you on fire for Jesus to do his will? Or are you exercising your faith to do his will and show praise based on how the wind may or may not blow in your life? Are you persuaded by others and/or circumstances around you? Are you hot, cold, or lukewarm? What’s your attitude? Are you displaying the attitude of a Christian, and other times nothing remotely close to that of a Christian at all. Would you care if your attitude towards worship was affected by the altitude available to you in God’s kingdom. Don’t know about you, but I may have no control over what may be happening around me, but I have every ounce of control of my attitude as to how I choose to respond. Checking your temperature occasionally is equally beneficial in the workplace as well in ensuring the proper work life balance. Are you hot, cold, or lukewarm to be the best possible you. Or do you have a (what ever) attitude about life, and your relationship with God and He with you? Check your temperature often as if your life depends on it, because your place in eternity does! Wishing you God’s blessings on your journey.
